This beautiful jewellery is made from tagua, also known as vegetable ivory, a seed from a palm tree that grows in tropical regions of South America. When ripe the nuts fall to the ground and are gathered and dried naturally for a period of up to 2 years, after which they become extremely hard (ivory like). The tagua seed is cut into different shapes and dyed in a variety of natural colours, revealing the veins of the pure cellulose material giving each piece an individual and natural look. Most importantly, tagua is replacing the slaughter of mammal ivory in the textile and fashion industries.

It is so lovely to hear from our customers and last week we received an email from a lady who had bought a kaloo comforter from us to give to a baby in an incubator.

She sent us a photo of a cake that her mum and dad had made her for her first birthday in the shape of her most favourite possession.

Our newest rag doll. This sweet handmade rag doll is 40cm tall and is wearing a pretty white dress, trimmed with white broderie anglaise and a matching hat.

She also has red and white polka dot shoes and trim on her hat. She has blonde woollen hair with red and white polka dot bows, a stitched pink smile, rosy cheeks and black bead eyes.

We have expanded our children's section with new Peppa Pig toys and accessories which are so cute, we also have a selection of in the Night Garden bags and tableware for little ones. Our wooden toys, bedroom accessories, children's name plaques and wooden name letters are from Lanka Kade a fair trade toy company.
